Another year on the green supports life-changing care for Torontonians
Menkes Developments Ltd was proud to host the 20th annual Charity Golf Classic at Lionhead Golf Club in Mississauga. The tournament, attended by family, employees and sponsors, was a tremendous success, with 260 golfers in attendance.
With the generous support of donors, sponsors and volunteers, Menkes raised $160,000 benefiting three healthcare organizations, West Park Healthcare Centre, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, and Kensington Health. All three organizations provide a diverse range of tools and services to help support patients with long-term health challenges. The funds raised this year increased Menkes’ cumulative fundraising efforts from its Charity Golf Classic to over $1, 460,000 million since its inception.
"Toronto Rehab Institute is a place that enables patients who have suffered from illness or injury, achieve the best possible outcomes,” said Cindy Yelle, President and CEO. We help people regain their health and well-being….we help them return to their lives. Thank you Menkes for your continued support, and for believing in the potential of Toronto Rehab and the community that we serve.”
“Menkes is more than just a city builder. For decades, we have proudly supported a wide range of health initiatives in the communities in which we operate our business,” said Steven Menkes, President, Low Rise Division.” These particular organizations were selected based on the fact that they provide life-changing care to help patients facing debilitating health challenges reclaim their lives. This is particularly meaningful to Menkes since the golf tournament was established in honour of a former Menkes employee.”
Thank you to the extensive support of everyone involved in making this event another yearly success.
