Menkes’ Livingston Model honoured with Award

TORONTO, November 20, 2020 - Menkes is proud to share that The Livingston Model- part of its Low Rise residential project Glen Ashton Estates - has been honoured with an Award of Distinction by the West End Home Builders Association. The Livingston, which showcases a spectacular array of upgrades won in the category of Best Interior Merchandising- Model Home.

The Livingston Model, located in Glen Ashton Estates in the prestigious Joshua Creek neighbourhood in Oakville, was designed by talented Interior Designer Gordana Car. Car produced an awe-inspiring design for the Livingston Model. Inspired by a modern farmhouse look- a design which has proved to be appealing to many different types of buyers - the interior design combines the modern and contemporary, with the country chic.

“This farmhouse style is warm and cozy feeling, but has some high-fashion flare to it," says Car of the design. “For example, white oak herringbone floors are used whenever possible. It’s white oak hardwood floor and pickets are painted in a black and white finish which really makes it pop. The staircase contains a two-storey high landing wall, as the perfect place to showcase wall art or a mirror. Fashionable yet timeless fixtures finish off this showstopping space.”
