As a Leasing Manager, you will embody professionalism and expertise, employing a proactive approach to align clients' needs with available properties. We seek individuals who excel in networking, negotiation, and problem-solving. Acting as the intermediary between tenants and Menkes Rental Suites Management on behalf of property owners, you will facilitate property viewings and lease negotiations. Full circle exposure of the leasing process to completion with prospective tenants at various buildings across the GTA.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Rental Suites Management the incumbent’s responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the Termination schedule and inventory management to ensure vacancy reduced.
  • Oversee the Marketing, listing and advertising of the properties for viewings, ensuring comprehensive showcasing of suites and amenities to prospective tenants.
  • Reporting on market and leasing stats and conversion.
  • Conduct follow-ups with prospective tenants, focusing on converting viewings into successful leases.
  • Serve as the main liaison with suite owners, offering regular updates on rental progress, rates and negotiating lease terms.
  • Coordinate lease applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare lease-related documentation, manage payments, and deposits efficiently.
  • Coordinate with cooperating brokers for MLS-listed properties, ensuring seamless showings and negotiations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction for both owners and tenants with regards to the move in process.

Qualifications

To succeed, candidates must possess the following combination of education, experience and skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential leasing.
  • Demonstrated success in sales, particularly in lead conversion.
  • Proficiency in managing leases and reporting for high-volume properties.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, excel, Outlook
  • Experience on Docusign, Buildium, and Front Lobby are an asset.
  • Thorough understanding of RTA, local rental regulations and compliance.
  • Solution-oriented with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with sound judgment.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and maintain organizational excellence.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing processes and responsibilities.
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and non-traditional holidays (Wednesday through Sunday schedule).
  • Real Estate license not required.
